...and then there's Bree's birthday!

How did it happen? My baby is going to be 12 years old. We went from asking for Barbie dolls to wanting make-up...mixed with Barbie dolls.

Bree made up with her own make-up for the first time. Feelin' hot hot hot. Her birthday day will be spent with a friend in a mani/pedi and then dinner at an Italian restaurant.

Our July Birthday Bonanza!

Rob's birthday started with a traditional Hooter's lunch...they made Rob do the chicken dance. Priceless...should be a commercial.

Then the presents.

We made Yuppy S'Mores

Yuppy S'mores= Microwaved S'mores in this doomaflagee thing that we found. The kids have been absolutely DYING to use the contraption so we finally did it after dinner. They had a ball....as you can see down below.

Ahhh....The Life of a Corporate Banker's Wife

Yep....we moved again. This move was one of the most difficult because it was so unexpected and unwanted. Rob was laid off and couldn't find a lucrative enough position in Chicago. We considered chucking our lives and simplifying on one of the islands...but admittedly, Rob and I are definitely not risk takers. Until Rob found a job, it felt like we were free falling. Eventually, Rob took a job in Raleigh, North Carolina.

My career was going well and the old historic house in Chicago was my dream. This transition has been one of the hardest of our 23 years together...I am lonely and starting over again...but I love him and will follow him to the ends of the Earth if that's what it takes. looking for a job again...praying for a teaching position in a town full of PhDs. UGH
Rah Rah the gang's all here. Rob and the kids finally joined me in our new Raleigh home.... And the work begins.
All work and no play...after eating at Kemps, we took the kids to Durham to drive. They did well...until Bree couldn't figure out the brakes and bumped AJ in the pit. Oh well...pretty good for a first attempt.

OK...so look where Bree's knees lay above and then look down to see where AJ's knees lay in comparison. LOL...the boy is HUGE!!
A Guitar Hero stand off between AJ and Naomi. Naomi won be 200 points.

An Early Father's Day

This year, we had to celebrate Father's Day on May 29th because of the move. Rob is returning back to having to wear suits so I thought a new dress watch would be perfect. Our last Father's Day in Illinois. Next year, North Carolina.

Mother's Day 2009: 7am

Mooommmm let's do Mother's Day!! The battle cry of every Stone family holiday. The kids are excited regardless of whether they are opening or giving the presents. So, we did Mother's Day as we do Christmas and all other holidays...at the wee hours of the morn. This was our last Mother's Day in Illinois. It was a fantastic day filled with fun and surprises. I received a Kindle and a new laptop along with a Georgia and Florida shirt. It was a very special day with my kids.

We DO silly up right!

Seriously, we truly LOVE being together. I'm not sure how many families can actually say that they have fun with their kids...but we honestly have fun with our kids. I love when they act true to themselves...let down their hair...and are just kids. This was our last night at the beach...it was windy and cool...but we were just playing together. SILLY!
Truly...just look at the SIZE of the boy child. It is SO nice to see a brother and sister LOVE each other like they do. It makes Rob and I so proud.

We LAUGHED at this! AJ was acting...but it was SO funny....so typical of the kids.

Look...I'm finally taller than someone!

I canNOT tell ya what this is....just Bree in the wind.

My gorgeous gentle giant! He is SUCH a special boy...with such a HUGE heart!

Mom...take a picture of me in my Heisman pose. LOL...ok sonzie! So...here he is...in his Heisman pose.
